In
children with a high risk of decay, fluoride treatment is recommended 4 times a
week. After the first round of treatment, it is repeated every 6 months.
How is
fluoride treatment applied?
The
dentist applies a fluoridated gel the child's teeth. This application adds fluoride
ions to the tooth structure, making it more resistant to tooth decay. Children
with a high risk of decay should get fluoride treatment 2 - 4 times a year.
